Tra la la la

Fostering the love of music is a delight for both you and your grandchild. What better way to spend quality time together than just listening to your favorite music from your all-time favorite orchestra, composers, and vocalists.  Check online or in your local publications for music classes in your area catering to newborns, toddlers or children of any age. Just as all of us learn language by being immersed in it, the same holds true of music. Children can learn to keep a beat and sing in tune, as well as develop motor skills, such as dancing, clapping, and skipping. Discover the inner musician in your grandchild as she touches and explores the sounds of different musical instruments. Soon he or she will be composing her own little songs!

A few music class recommendations are:

  •  Kindermusik
  •  Melody Hounds, offered at local YMCA’s and libraries
  •  Gymboree Music
  •  The Music Class
  •  Music Together
