For over 30 years Sandy Vohr has been handcrafting items in leather.  Her “leather zoo” business eventually evolved into her present line of leather bookends and paper weights, all handmade by Sandy in her workshop in Northville, NY.  At one point, these delightful animals were sold at Juried craft shows in the Northeast and several museum shows. Since 2004, Sandy has concentrated selling wholesale to select stores and galleries including Japan and Hong Kong, and lucky for us, now online.

Sandy’s work has been featured in Travel and Leisure, In Style, New York magazine, and the New York Times. She is the mother of four, whose retired husband of 52 years works with her in her company, Sandy Vohr’s Leather Zoo.  Go to and view all her wonderful creations.
