Stylish Hair Tips for the Over-50 Crowd

Aug 9, 2015 | Experts Corner, Latest & Greatest

Women constantly fret about their hair, whether they are 25 or 65. Grandparentslink spoke with Chris McMillan*, hairstylist to the stars, and asked for his expert advice for the over-50 ladies.

These are his top 3 tips:

1. Don’t wash your hair every day; just rinse it. It is better for your hair, and allows it to breathe.

2. If you color your hair, consider growing it out. White hair is in and beautiful. Look at Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, or Linda Fargo, Senior Vice-President of Bergdorf. Talk about looking wonderful!

Stylish Hair Tips Photo #2 JPG3. Use the product “prime” from Living proof.®. We tried it and it is fabulous. Blow dry your hair with this product, and notice how your hair does not frizz. Prime gives your hairstyle memory, and repels dirt and moisture. You can also apply it to your wet hair, style, and let dry; this is a great look, especially in the summertime.

There was no harm meant- it was just the environment at the time.

The Value of Your History

a special feature from Kay Ziplow & Leslie Zinberg, founders

Let’s take a moment and celebrate our personal footprint and stories – never discounting the importance of who we are and where we came from, along with the details of our family history.
